Machines Like This Don't Just Happen.

The new 2010 Ford Mustang is a visual representation of raw power - from its chiseled good looks, through its sweeping beltline and pronounced curves, to its kicked-up haunches. Now set atop striking new rims, Mustang sports a power dome hood, a distinctive grille and an aggressive front fascia, for a sleek, strong look that's all its own. Ford designers approached each classic Mustang design element with a contemporary vision to modernize the vehicle's appearance. The iconic Mustang grille, the "hockey stick" side lines, the hop up into the rear haunch, the quarter-glass window, the three-bar tail lamp and the center-mounted faux gas cap were all reconsidered to give the new car even more presence and character. As a result, the New 2010 Mustang squats on its haunches with a clean, sporty design that looks smart and efficient.

Sometimes, lust overcomes reason. Blame what's under the new power dome hood of the 2010 Mustang GT. With the addition of cold-air induction to the recalibrated V8, horsepower output jumps to 315 and the redline bumps to 6000. And there's a throatier roar to match; perfectly broadcasted by the wider dual-exhaust tips. Suspension components - including springs, stabilizer bars, struts, shocks, control arms, brakes and steering - have also been fine-tuned for a more engaging and balanced GT experience. So shut your other side up and get in.  The 4.6-liter three-valve V8 engine for New 2010 Mustang benefits from horsepower gains (up to the present 315hp with 325 lb.-ft. of torque) achieved by the addition of a cold-air induction system pioneered through Ford Racing Technology. The intake is tucked behind the driver-side headlamp, mounted in an air box that's specific to the Mustang. Extensive sealing modifications ensure cold air from the front of the Mustang feed the engine. The redline for the V8 engine is increased 250 rpm to 6,500 for 2010, and revised calibration ensures the customer fully feels these changes. What's more, the 4.6-liter, three-valve SOHC V-8 engine is the most-accessorized engine in the marketplace. The engine is mated to a smooth-moving standard five-speed manual transmission. A responsive, tight, five-speed automatic transmission is also available.
