In November 2006, a team of 30 Mercedes-Benz engineers and mechanics circled the
globe with one goal in mind: to combine their SUV expertise into one vehicle.
For the next two years, they test-drove the remarkable GLK more than 1.5 million
miles. Over punishing terrain. In the Arctic Circle. In the African desert. The
