Toyota Camry Fuel Economy
Improved fuel economy is one of the highlighted changes of the Camry. Aerodynamic design to lower drag, low-rolling-resistance tires and an increase of 2 miles per gallon (in both the 4-cylinder and V6) from last year make the all new Camry a leader in its class. There's little difference in feel between the hybrid and gas-powered Camry, but there are a bevy of variances under the hood. The hybrid is equipped with Toyota's Synergy Drive, which combines a four-cylinder engine, a small high torque electric motor and nickel-metal hydride batteries. This powerful combo allows the Camry Hybrid to get 43/39 mpg EPA fuel economy rating with a combined average of 41 mpg. That's an enormous 12 mpg increase in city driving and an impressive gain of 8 mpg for combined driving cycles. Clearly the Camry comes packed with money-saving advantages.
Toyota Camry Safety and Security
You can rest assured the Camry is raising the bar in terms of safety. Even the most basic L series comes equipped with a total of ten airbags, which include new rear outboard seat-mounted torso-protecting airbags. A redesigned, bolder front end will increase frontal impact protection with strengthened floor members and reinforced pillars and door innards. When it comes to stopping, the new Camry is prepared - emergency braking assist, electronic brakeforce distribution and ventilated front disc and solid rear disc brakes all come standard. A Blind Spot monitor offering is also available, as seen in other pricier luxury sedans.
Toyota Camry Interior
One of the acclaimed
features of the Camry is the all new Entune system. This high-tech
multimedia system syncs your smartphone to your car, keeping you safely
connected even while driving. Drivers can choose from dozens of Entune-enabled
applications that can make things like dinner reservations, streaming radio and
up-to-the-minute traffic reports available via voice command.
Designers worked hard to make the Toyota Camry more spacious and comfortable than ever before, all the while creating a more high-brow design and feel. The interior provides a relaxed ride with multi-adjustable front bucket seats and tweaked backseats to create more knee room for passengers. A navigation and entertainment screen resides on the center dash, which is trimmed in matte black plastic. Touch-wise, the Camry has been upgraded with multi-tone fabric on L, LE and XLE four-cylinder models, but you can upgrade to leather-trimmed seats with high-quality hide, contrasting stitching and perforated faux suede inserts. The Camry features a Six-speaker AM/FM/CD head with an LCD screen attached to six speakers, and Bluetooth is installed in all models. It comes with a long list of other upgraded features that increase its "luxury" factor, making the Camry rival even the most expensive luxury sedans.
Toyota Camry Exterior
The Toyota Camry will turn heads with its improved, contemporary design. These style tweaks include a noticeably wider stance that still maintains sleek lines, improved structure dynamics to increase fuel efficiency, and a bolder front end featuring new headlamps and grille. The body make-up has seen some improvements, too. The new Camry is made with more high- and ultra-high-strength steel which, while endowing the vehicle with more rigidity, also lowers its weight 120 lbs from previous years. Other features of the new model include:
17-inch alloy tires can be had on LE, XLE and SE vehicles
Front chrome foglight recesses
New front bumper cover with a jutting chin and expansive lower air intake
