VW Touareg Performance

The Volkswagen Touareg has three available engines: gasoline, diesel and hybrid. The hybrid has been called one of the best available because it is a full (parallel) hybrid and can drive on electrons alone. For most full hybrids, the gas engine never shuts off at cruising speeds, but the Touareg Hybrid shuts down the gas engine at speeds of up to 99 mph. This feature, called "sailing," sets the Touareg apart from other hybrids.

VW Touareg Safety and Security

  The VW Touareg makes safety a priority with its wide range of features, including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) Plus, Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) for balance and equal traction, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and a crash optimized front end with impact absorbing elements. The Touareg is also equipped with the Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS). When airbags are deployed, the ICRS unlocks all doors, disconnects the battery and alternator, shuts off the fuel supply and turns on the warning hazards and interior lights.

The best way to describe the VW Volkswagen Touareg interior is high-tech luxury. Heated front seats, walnut wood interior trim, V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces, multi-function adjustable steering wheel with controls for audio, cruise and onboard computer, and Dual-Zone Climatronic® with two different cabin temperatures and separate controls make for a truly comfortable ride. The Touareg is also equipped with Dynaudic® 10 high-end speakers, auxiliary input jack for IPods, Trip Computer, Sirius Radio, Bluetooth® and an optional RNS-510 Navigation System. With the VW Touareg, you won't want the ride to end!

VW Touareg Exterior

The Volkswagen Touareg is just as high-tech on the outside as in the cabin. Bi-Xenon headlights with Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) II with a bluish-white light are more energy efficient than halogen lamps, and turn as you turn for better visibility. Keyless access means the doors unlock automatically as you walk to your car when the key fob is anywhere on you. Once inside, just step on the brake, hit the start button, and away you go!
